As we approach the spring season, I want to take a moment to emphasize the importance of the upcoming STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) testing, which begins on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
STAAR testing is a critical measure of our students’ academic progress and helps us ensure they are mastering the knowledge and skills necessary for success in their current grade and beyond. It also provides valuable insight into how we, as a school community, can continue to grow and support every learner.
Your child’s attendance, preparation, and focus during this time are more important than ever. To give our students the best opportunity for success, we ask that you help us by ensuring the following:
Your child is present and on time every day of testing.
Your child gets a good night’s sleep before each testing day.
A healthy breakfast is encouraged to help students stay energized and focused.
Encourage your child with positive words and reminders of their hard work and abilities.
Please mark your calendar and avoid scheduling any appointments during this critical testing window. Every day of instruction and testing matters, and your partnership helps create the conditions our students need to thrive.
We are proud of the growth our students have shown this year and are confident that, with your support, they will demonstrate their best work. Thank you for your continued commitment to your child’s education and to our school community.

Los exámenes STAAR son una medida fundamental del progreso académico de nuestros estudiantes y nos ayudan a garantizar que estén dominando los conocimientos y habilidades necesarios para tener éxito en su grado actual y en los siguientes. También nos brindan información valiosa sobre cómo podemos seguir creciendo y apoyando a cada estudiante.
La asistencia, preparación y concentración de su hijo(a) durante este tiempo son más importantes que nunca. Para brindarles la mejor oportunidad de éxito, les pedimos su apoyo en lo siguiente:
Asegúrese de que su hijo(a) esté presente y llegue a tiempo cada día de exámenes.
Que su hijo(a) duerma bien la noche anterior a cada día de pruebas.
Que consuma un desayuno saludable para mantenerse con energía y enfocado(a).
Motive a su hijo(a) con palabras de aliento y recordatorios positivos de su esfuerzo y capacidad.
Por favor, marque esta fecha en su calendario y evite programar citas médicas u otras ausencias durante este período de exámenes. Cada día de instrucción y evaluación es fundamental, y su colaboración crea las condiciones necesarias para que nuestros estudiantes tengan éxito.
