Dear Parents:
Welcome to a new and exciting 2012 – 2013 school year. Our goal at L. Daiches Elementary is to work collaboratively to insure that all of our students learn and excel. I encourage you to come and visit your child’s teacher so that you can monitor your child’s progress in class and therefore establish effective communication rapport with the teacher(s).
This year the whole campus participates in Breakfast in the Classroom, and breakfast is served from 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. Don’t forget that school now begins at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 2:45 p.m. In order to keep your child safe, all those students arriving after 7:45 need to come in through the front entrance of the campus. Please help us by bringing your child to school on time.
Afternoon dismissal this year will be done through the back part of the school. If you are driving and picking up your child (2nd – 5th), the school gate will open at 2:45 p.m. for pick up only, parking is permitted outside of the school gates for safety purposes.
With that in mind, Leon Daiches faculty, staff and administration look forward to working with our students, parents and community member and throughout the school year learning and growing together.
