Parents and community members:
On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to extend to you an invitation to join our Daiches faculty and staff members in providing additional support for our students. Every one of us is committed to high expectations! Children come first at Daiches and we are pleased to have your child with us! Rest assured that everything we do is all in the best interest of our students! We invite you to attend your child’s programs and become an active member of our school community by becoming a parent volunteer.

Lisa P. Soto,
Hello Daiches Eagles!
I recently moved to Laredo and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the Daiches community. High expectations, positive attitude and hard work are essential for student success. I look forward to a wonderful experience working with the students, parents and staff at Daiches Elementary.
Should you ever have any questions, comments or concerns; please do not hesitate to contact me- I would be happy to assist you!
My name is Cathy De Leon and I am so excited to be the new Assistant Principal at Daiches Elementary. A little bit of background...I am originally from a small town in south central Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school, I moved to Texas to attend Schreiner College in Kerrville, Texas. I graduated from Schreiner with a Bachelor of Arts degree and began teaching second grade at Alkek Elementary, Bandera ISD, in 1999. After moving to San Antonio in 2001, I taught at Villarreal Elementary, NISD, for seven years. The majority of my time in the classroom was spent teaching fifth grade. Since I have a great deal of background knowledge and interest in Science, fifth was the perfect grade level for me. While I was teaching, I earned my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from UTSA in 2006. For two years, I had the pleasure of being the Assistant Principal Beard and Ott Elementary. In 2010, I was promoted to Vice Principal of Carnahan Elementary.
